During a 12-month parental leave BNP Paribas is now looking for a legal counsel to be part of their legal team in Stockholm.
Job Description:
You will be part of a legal team advising BNP Paribas on various legal matters arising in Sweden and Finland and have a key role in ensuring that the legal services provided in the region are qualitative, consistent and provided in a timely manner.
You will work closely with a diversified CIB business in a fast moving, international environment, always cooperating with colleagues all over the world and support the Swedish and Finnish business and service their day-to-day transactional and regulatory legal requirements and queries. You will also be required to be proactively engaged in legal and regulatory projects and issues that affect all BNP Paribas business lines both in Sweden and in the Nordic Region. You will be responsible for monitoring Swedish legal markets and maintaining awareness of Swedish legal developments and BNP Paribas policies and guidelines.
In this role you will also provide other BNP Paribas legal staff with advice, assistance and support with regard to Swedish law issues and cooperate with both national and international colleagues for foreign legal issues for Swedish clients as well as contribute to the development of standard agreements and templates together with legal guidelines for products and documentation as appropriate and assist in keeping such documentation as well as guidelines, policies and procedures updated.
Who you are:
You have a Swedish Law Degree LL.M and approximately 3-5 years ' relevant working experience in M&A/Corporate, regulatory or banking and finance preferably including experience from work in a law firm and/or an investment or corporate bank. You are familiar with LMA standard loan documentation and experienced in the legal aspects of M&A and Corporate Investment Banking.
You have the ability to work both independently and in a team with a strong sense of teamwork as well as excellent communication, negotiation and drafting skills in both Swedish and English. You are solution focused and have the ability to act calmly and professionally in a demanding and fast moving business environment. You are also Independent, rigorous and commercial and have strong time management and prioritising skills. You are comfortable and confident advising the business
What we offer:
You will be reporting to Head of CIB Legal Sweden and Finland and be part of a team of total three lawyers and one trainee. You will be located in nice premises in the central parts of Stockholm. You will get an opportunity to work on an international level with very nice and competent colleagues. You will be a part of a European leader in banking and financial services during a 12 months ' period starting as soon as possible.
