The basic training courses for nurses and radiographers lead to a professional degree as well as a bachelor's degree. The training of midwives and the different courses for specialist nurses lead to a professional registration in combination with a master's degree. All professional programmes lead to a professional registration. Moreover, the freestanding courses are offered at an advanced level, offering the possibility to continue studying towards a master's degree in one of the Institute's main subjects; nursing, reproductive and perinatal health, radiography and health care pedagogics. The Institute also offers a postgraduate programme leading to a PhD degree in Health Care Sciences. Due to the expanded educational contract, there is a need to increase the number of teachers with a specialisation in clinical training on a first and second cycle level.Research in Care Sciences focuses on the person's experiences in connection with ill-health, disease and suffering; on one hand in relation to recovery and on the other hand in relation to preserving and promoting health in relation to the biological body and socio-cultural structures. In Care Sciences, the person's learning is key as well as the organisation of the health care. The Institute hosts seven research groups and a centre for person-centred care.Subject areaNursingSubject area descriptionNursing science concerns the knowledge about health and a good life despite the presence of illness and/or disability, and the creation of conditions for having a peaceful and dignified death. It is not the illness nor the disability, but people's experiences, interpretations and reactions to the illnesses and diseases that form the focal point.Job assignmentsThe position is based within the section for Learning and Leadership, at the Institute of Health and Care Sciences.As a university lecturer at the Institute for Health and Care Sciences, you will actively contribute towards achieving the Institutes objectives and business plan as well as participate in planned common meetings and activities at the Institute and the Faculty.The tasks include to plan, teach, examine and evaluate the students' learning and knowledge development in a structured and pedagogical manner, above all in the courses concerning supervision, learning and leadership, but teaching may occur within other subjects. The tasks also include continuous pedagogical development. You will be working in close collaboration with the Programme teachers.EligibilityCompleted university education at the least advanced level in Nursing or Care Pedagogy and demonstrated pedagogical skills. Qualification as a registered nurse.AssessmentWe are searching for a person with pedagogical experience from teaching Nursing students. Especially meritorious is experience from teaching in the subject of supervision of students, ethical dialogues and dialogues related to process-oriented supervision. Shown ability to collaborate with others, flexibility in encounters with groups of teachers and students are of great significance since the Institute has a person centred approach. Further, administrative and organisational skills will be taken into consideration. The teaching will be in Swedish and on certain occasions in English, therefor good knowledge in both written and verbally spoken Swedish and English is required. It is a plus if the applicant has at least 5 higher education credits from teaching and learning in higher education or its equivalent.EmploymentPermanent post, part time 10 %, located at The Institute of Health and Care Sciences.
