Lean Champion
(at Kongserg Automotive AB, Mullsjö, Sweden)
The position of Lean Champion is a crucial role in Kongsberg Automotive. Your focus is on developing the overall lean strategy and implementation plans cross the organisation. You will execute strategies, action plans and budget established together with your superior. You manage Kaizen events within the operation in a such way that both short-term and long-term objectives are reached. You utilize best practices by implementing a clear lean culture through best internal practice and world class lean manufacturing.
You will also be responsible for:
• Developing an efficient and skilled lean-focused organisation with trained facilitators and co-facilitators, in close collaboration with the production management.
• Providing needed oversight and training in the area of lean philosophy, tools and techniques and continuous improvement practices.
• Recording and evaluating all continuous improvement projects as assigned. On a weekly basis to report the progress of lean implementation and at the same time to make an unbiased analysis of the strong and weak points with reference to world class lean manufacturing.
The Lean Champion is part of the Plant management team and reports to the Plant Manager.
Candidate Profile
• MSc / BSc Engineering degree or similar.
• At least two years' relevant working experience.
• Management profile and high degree of personal integrity and confidence.
• Ability to make quick decisions based on experience and analysis as well as advice from other people.
• Fluency in spoken and written English and Swedish. Preferably oral command of at least one other language in addition to mother tongue.
