Nasdaq is now looking for a Lead Software Engineer to join our European Development Team.
The team consisting of a very skilled group of developers working together to form the core functional and non-functional development of our trading and market data systems. These systems power the Nordic equity market and provide market data feeds for all asset classes in Europe.
As a Lead Software Engineer at Nasdaq, you will work with highly motivated and skilled colleagues in an international and dynamic environment. This position is a fantastic opportunity to develop your technical and interpersonal skills, while gaining an extensive knowledge of the exchange industry.

About the role and responsibilities
* Adopt a holistic view of the entire system layout and configuration
* Review business requirements and software design specifications
* Develop new complex functionality in an environment handling large volumes of data and demands for high availability
* Write and execute unit tests using continuous integration/delivery
Education, Professional accomplishments, and Certifications
* Education Required: University degree in computer science, information technology, software development or similar or equivalent work experience
* At least 7 years of work experience
* Experience with enterprise Java application development, C/C++
* Comfortable in a SCRUM and Agile environment
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to develop, train, inspire and motivate team to accomplish objectives
* Ability to build good relationships with peers, business partners and clients
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
* Experience from working with financial systems especially trading/market data systems would be a merit
