About the position:
We are looking for a Lead Interaction Designer to be part of our growing team and continue to evolve the UIQ Platform with the latest technologies, standards and UI design for upcoming mobile phone
releases and to make UIQ products an ultimate user experience.
Your tasks will include taking a leading part in the requirements analysis, design and specification of the user interface, while and focusing on the usability and interaction design aspects of the
UIQ product. You will work in a cross functional team where you will assist and mentor interaction designers in their daily work. You will be responsible for the UI design decisions for the platform
area and make sure that the UI production follows the UIQ UI process and the UIQ UI design guidelines. Your focus will be on the end-user perspective, always striving to deliver the highest quality to
our customers.
Key tasks:
• Approve the quality of the UI Design produced by the team Interaction Designers at Development Platform Engineering
• Supporting line and project managers regarding UI related questions and decisions
• Support the product department in the requirement analysis
• Support Interaction Designers in their daily work
• Take part in the UIQ UI Design Forum making the decisions regarding overall UI Design and UI processes
• Supporting line and project managers regarding UI related questions and decisions
Essential Qualifications and Skills:
• Excellent skills in interaction design/GUI design and usability
• Excellent understanding of design documentation production
• Excellent communication skills
o Fluent in spoken and written English
o Mentor/Share knowledge within the team
o Excellent presentation skills
• Extensive knowledge in tools commonly used for design and visualizations (e.g. Photoshop, Visio)
• Experience of working with Software Engineers/Architects both in communicating design ideas, assessing their technical impact and seeing the design through the implementation and beyond
• Experience of working with interaction/GUI design for small screen devices is highly desirable
• Experience of working with the UIQ Platform is highly desirable
Education:
A university degree in Interaction design, HCI, MMI, GUI design, Industrial design, Computer Science or similar.
