Volvo Group Trucks Technology has an increased need of skilled engineers within the perception components group located in Gothenburg. The group consists of three development teams; Radar & ultrasonic team, Camera & Lidar team and Computational nodes team.
Since the group is expanding we are looking for new employees that have a passion to work and develop sustainable transport solutions with pioneering products and services for the transport and infrastructure industries.
Your missions:
You will be a part in securing the deliveries of the sensors and other components needed to realize the automation of commercial vehicles.
Your main task will be to secure the quality of our perception components to low and high volume projects. We will expect you to take the lead of different test and troubleshooting activities; from doing the initial testing of new SW and HW products in vehicle, to Root Cause Analysis of perceived and reported issues in the Vehicle Automation and Active Safety domain. The role will be hands on also including test driving and you will get the chance to experience Vehicle Automations products first hand.
You will be part of a team with main responsibilities to secure global product ownership over time for the outward looking sensors and related processing control unit, used in our vehicles.
In this role you will regularly meet with suppliers, both external and internal. We are also involved in research projects together with both Swedish and international Universities and research institutes.
Scope for your area:
Root cause analysis on installed components in truck
Data logging & analytics
Sensors and sensor systems for AD and ADAS
Radar, camera, lidar, etc
Hardware for processing sensor output
Maintenance and quality handling

Requirements:
Experience of testing of Software Functions
Truck Driving License
Fluent in English, spoken and written
Preferred: Bachelor degree in engineering
