Job description
We are now recruiting a new member to our team of Embedded Software Engineers within the Spare Part Engineering and Information (SPEI) function in Gothenburg. The Embedded Software team is a global cluster with the responsibility of securing aftermarket software solutions for all Truck Brands and partly for Volvo Bus.
You will be responsible for a number of nodes and within that domain you will participate to Start Cost projects, QJs and Product Modification Requests, identifying and setting requirements in the early stage of projects. You will make sure that requirements are updated during the project life cycle and you will develop conversion kits as a final delivery.
In addition to the deployment of conversion kits (accessory, campaign and hardware kits), you will release (PD developed) software for the Aftermarket. You will sometimes act as back office (third line) handling most complex customer cases connected.
You will have an autonomous role in the complete development chain from early concept phases to releasing a complete product. This assignment will allow you to operate close to the market and at the same time to be part of the product development. You will have a varying work and will operate in a very large network.

Qualifications
Master of Science in Software Engineering or equivalent
Experience from ESW development
Good knowledge of Software Architecture
Knowledge of Aftermarkets business is meritorious
Previous experience of the Volvo systems as KOLA, Software Configurator and GLOPPS is a merit
Fluent in English, verbally and written
