Job Description:
We are looking for a skilled and experienced Lead Control & Instrumentation Engineer to join the Central Engineering Team. In this role, you will act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all aspects of Control & Instrumentation (C&I) engineering, ensuring the successful development and implementation of process automation and control systems across multiple industrial projects Key Responsibilities:
Report to the Head of Engineering and drive standardization, optimization, and safety across projects.
Provide technical leadership in the C&I discipline and serve as the escalation point for project teams.
Lead the standardization of C&I systems and equipment on-site.
Serve as the custodian of C&I standards and guidelines.
Oversee team competency and resource planning in collaboration with design managers.
Support the development and handover of new project scopes to Engineering Contractors.
Manage engineering contracts with third-party suppliers and ensure performance alignment.
Requirements:
Master's degree in Controls, Electronics Engineering, or a related discipline.
PMP certification or equivalent (preferred).
8+ years of industry experience in steel manufacturing processes or similar heavy industries.
5+ years in a senior C&I engineering role.
Strong knowledge of European and Swedish standards and regulations.
Expertise in Technical and Process Safety.
Proficiency in Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS), DCS, PLCs, SCADA, and field instrumentation.
Ability to interpret P&IDs, control philosophies, and telecom specifications.
Excellent communication skills in English; Swedish is a plus.
Skilled in engineering software, project management systems, and digital tools.
Strong integrity and courage to ensure adherence to engineering standards.
Effective communicator with excellent organizational skills.
Collaborative team player with a passion for successful project execution.
