Hardware Engineering is one of the three new Engineering Units in Business Area Networks, responsible for the end-to-end development for our Hardware products such as Radios and Transport products, including ASIC and FPGA development
Our Engineering Environment and Experience (EEE) is a unit established within Hardware Engineering Unit (EU HW) with the exciting scope to work with EU HW Engineering environment and experience where we secure a world class engineering environment and tools for our designers. Our unit will explore and find synergies across design units in the Engineering Environment area.
Below is the high level scope and responsibilities overview of the unit:
Engineering Environment Technical development & leadership for EU HW
Define and create Strategy for EUHW in key areas such as: Design Environment (Cloud provisioning and Operations); Test Environment provisioning and Operations ; Lab strategy and Capability (HDC, Chambers)
Engineering Environment Provisioning & Operations (STP and E2C)
CAPEX and OPEX Management for EUHW
Hardware Methods & tools board
Global HW design tools licenses
Global EUHW SW development licenses
Drive TE efficiency cross EUHW
Chamber Dimensioning, Deployment & Maintenance
Development and Operations of common Tools (e.g. RITTS, vWave)
Analytics (e.g. MHWEB, RENSA)
Lead cross EU improvement programs and Establish governance for improved cross EUHW improvements in EE area The EU HW EEE unit will be main interface towards other units such as SAN, EIT and other EEE units as well as collaborate strongly across Engineering Units
Provisioning and Operations (PAO) is the unit enabling Enable, develop and maintain a stable , efficient and secure design and test environment supporting HW EU needs.
What you will do
You will work with IT Infrastructure supporting the R&D Lab (technical laboratories) mainly in Ericsson Kista Campus. Some coordination and possibly lead of technical knowledge and community of practice sharing with other units and similar roles at other sites is encouraged.
Also, the role will mean daily interactions with the R&D engineers and IT Architects as well participations in daily planning/team meetings and more. It is therefore imperative that there is a strong willingness to be part of an end to end delivery, work with other people, can solve technical problems in isolation or with others. Responsibility will mean, but not limited to, design, ordering, installation, documentation, day to day management and support of Network, PC, other IT equipment used in the Labs.
Work is often carried out in coordination with internal and external Service Providers.
You will bring following IT systems/components on an expert level
Windows and Linux based OS Deployment and Management
Configuration system management
PC BIOS and UEFFI configuration
Juniper and/or Extreme Network Equipment management
TCP/IP
Additional prioritized skills
ISO27000 and Information Security Management System
Instrumentation interfaces like GB-IB
PowerShell, Linux Shell Script, Python
Windows based authentication (AD)
Has experience from Product R&D or from working with Infrastructure operations supporting R&D
Personal treats
