Combining dark kitchens and a unique distribution model, VEAT offers ready-to-eat plant-based food through a network of vending machines.
As VEAT is gearing up to rapidly increase production in Stockholm we're looking for a trained production Chef to join the kitchen operations team. The kitchen team is critical for VEAT's success and in establishing it as a global leader in producing innovative and delicious plant-based food.
Responsibilities
Cook plant-based meals from scratch to offer our clients well-prepared, nutritious and delicious food
Ensure highest quality consistency in all meals cooked in the kitchen
Take part in planning work in the kitchen
Order ingredients according to detailed weekly production plans
Follow laws, guidelines and regulations
Conduct self-control and HACCP
Be a positive force in developing sustainable kitchen operations
Who you are and what you'll bring
The right cultural fit is as important as culinary skills and identification with VEAT's mission.
You like challenges, are curious and are interested in cooking plant-based food
You're a trained chef with several years of experience, ideally from both fine dining establishments and larger production kitchens
You're passionate about cooking and have the ability to be innovative and creative within a given framework
You've got an eye for details and appreciate orderliness both in your own and your colleagues' work
You've got a hands-on, humble and open-minded attitude
You take pride in your work
You share our vision on sustainability and are excited about offering plant-based cuisine to an ever-expanding number of locations
You're autonomous but also work well both in a team and under pressure
You've got an ability to create good relationships with colleagues and contribute to creating a stimulating work environment for everyone
Knowledge of nutrition, food hygiene and kitchen/recipe finances is a big plus
