Emerging Technologies Purchasing (ETP) was founded to support the Volvo Group Transform ambitions and bring together the domains and new technologies where GTP will foster and accelerate new ways of working with our supply chain partners. At Emerging Technologies Purchasing, we are leading the way towards Partnerships and Strategic Alliances.
Strategic Alliance is set to build a long-term and robust relationship between the Volvo Group and Isuzu Motors. The technology partnership will leverage both parties' complementary areas of expertise within well-known as well as new technologies and create a larger volume base to support necessary technology investments. Opportunities for light- duty, medium-duty and heavy-duty trucks and component sharing will be explored.
Position Description:
Mission:
The mission for the Key Account Manager (KAM) Purchasing Isuzu Motors/UD Trucks is:
For purchasing scope, manage the maintenance and project activities for all Alliance components and be the day-to-day interface from GTP to Isuzu Motors/UD Trucks Purchasing to deliver product maintenance in an efficient and compliant manner.
Responsibilities:
The primary responsibilities of the KAM Purchasing are:
Be the one contact point to take up all issues connected with Service Level Agreements (SLA), Transitional Level Agreements (TSA) and other operational concerns (execution, follow up and revisions)
Mobilize and address relevant GTP resources to support Isuzu Motors /UD Trucks maintenance and project activities
Resolve cross company functional/operational issues for Isuzu Motors /UD Trucks maintenance and project activities
Address roadblocks with respect to prioritization of resources and/or projects by being a facilitator
Synchronize with Technology and Operation KAMs
Coordinate with Volvo stakeholders (GTT, GTO etc.) cross functionally
Support execution of alliance projects if requested or delegated from the Head of Isuzu Strategic Alliance Purchasing and Purchasing Cross Company Functional Team (PCCFT)
As applicable raise issues to Head of Isuzu Strategic Alliance Purchasing for endorsement or decisions
Manage all activities and communications in line with competitor legal guidelines
Competence & Experience:
Demonstrated ability to lead, inspire, challenge and coach working teams
Ability to execute in a global, multi-dimensional and multi-cultural organization
Ability to represent GTP in a recognized professional way
Extensive network both in GTP and in TD/BAs
Able to manage complex situations with a winner mindset
Ownership mentality
Multicultural, multifunctional experience required
Able to handle ambiguity's and hold things together during tough times
Take good decisions in line with internal stakeholders, with risks and opportunities and alternative solutions in mind
Courage and integrity
Excellent English (spoken/written)
Authorities:
The primary authorities of the KAM are:
Deliver efficient and effective communication for maintenance of Alliance components
Where needed, facilitate communication between Isuzu Motors/ UD Trucks and GTP
To secure SLA's and TSA's are being deployed
Secure CAST (Common Architecture & Shared Technology) management
Secure Business Review Meeting with Isuzu Motors / UD Trucks
Escalate to Head of Isuzu Strategic Alliance Purchasing for support and decisions
