Sentient's focus is software functions for steering and complete vehicle control. Since Sentient 's products are independent of vehicle type, they are targeting both passenger cars and heavy vehicles. Their Blueprint Steering has been in production at a major truck OEM since 2013. Sentient are located at Lindholmen, Gothenburg, and have their fleet of test vehicles at AstaZero outside Borås.
Sentient is now looking for a new colleague to the verification team who collaborates in projects with both the hardware and the software team. Your job duties will mainly be based on the hardware-in-the-loop rig present on site where you will maintain the rig and support test-case development. You will also work with maintenance of the fleet of test cars. Some duties involve Python scripting and work in Matlab and Simulink, and depending on interest you could take on the point of contact role for some of Sentient's clients you could be the point of contact for some of Sentient's clients.
You will work alongside a very experienced and skilled team with the intention to learn as much as possible and grow into the role and team. The end goal is for you to work broadly with the HIL-rig as well as embedded software development.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
The must-haves:
Master's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably Automation and Mechatronics or similar
Experience from Python
Experience from Matlab and Simulink
Knowledge and an interest in electronics/mechatronics
Driving license
The nice-to-haves:
Practical experience from electronics/mechatronics
Experience and an interest in the automotive industry

ABOUT THE CLIENT:
Sentient was founded in 2009 by a group of engineers specialized in vehicle active safety. With several years of experience in the automotive industry and academic research, they set out to revolutionize the conceptual thinking behind steering and vehicle motion control. New ideas developed to put into action in a dynamic work environment with additional owners and colleagues. Sentient's first product, S+ Blueprint Steering, came on the market in 2013. Four patents have been granted, and six patents are currently pending.
Sentient creates leading products for steering and vehicle motion control. We make sure that automated driving works in real life. Our functions are more than fulfilled legal obligations and ratings. This is a consulting assignment which means that you will initially be employed by Friday. The ambition from both Sentient and Friday is that the assignment will result in a permanent position at Sentient.
