We develop and maintain competence in the areas of fleet & vehicle management services, wireless data communication, positioning, real time operation systems, vehicle integration and software engineering. Our employees are a tight team of highly skilled and well organized project managers, software architects, requirement managers and designers/developers.
We develop on-board software for Uptime services and for the fleet management systems; Dynafleet (Volvo Trucks), OptiFleet (Renault Trucks) and Volvo Link (Volvo Trucks NA)
We have a mature and well-documented software development process, evaluated according to Automotive SPICE and CMMI. To support our process, we use tools like CaliberRM (for requirements management), Rhapsody (for system design and code generation C++) and ClearCase (for configuration management).
You will develop embedded telematics/fleet management/uptime applications in UML and C++, using code generating tools. You will work in product development or advanced engineering projects with typically 5-15 colleagues with responsibility for your own and possibly other colleagues? work.
At VTEC you will have the opportunity to develop your competence, as a matter of fact, we expect you to. This could be done by deepening your competence in one application domain or by working in different domains. Another way to develop is to change between Research, Advanced Engineering and Product development projects.
Profile:
We are looking for a junior software developer/designer within embedded C++ programming, design and unit testing with potential to take lead in technology or projects.

Qualifications:
Masters degree in computer science / computer engineering or equivalent education
Minimum 0-2 years working experience from software design
Well spoken and written English
Merits:
Experience in C++/OO Modelling, Rhapsody, Autosar, Windows Mobile, RTOS, Lauterbach debuggers, ARM and hardware is considered merits.
