This is a dual role that has both clinical responsibilities, working with patients from mainly Australia/New Zealand and the US, and administrative responsibilities. The role includes coordinating clinical operations and reimbursement from self pay and insurers as well as assisting with strategic development for expansion of service into new local and global, markets.

The Role
Responsibilities
• Deliver training to international licencees of the Mandometer treatment method and other stakeholders or collaborative partners
• Provide clinical leadership to staff in the development and implementation of Mandometer clinical guidelines for treating patients with eating disorders
• Deliver and manage assessments and treatment plans for patients with eating disorders
• Guide and assist in the strategic and operational development of clinical operations and other key business functions
• Work with management to develop and implement strategies for achievement of clinic objectives
• Prepare and provide regular reports on business performance. Review and improve clinic business systems to ensure smooth and efficient functioning, high quality services and continuous improvement.

Qualifications, skills and experience

Essential
• Detailed knowledge of the Australian and New Zealand healthcare and reimbursement systems. Working knowledge of public funding and the main private health care funds. Familiar with billing of private pay and insurance coverage
• Working knowledge of the American healthcare system, commercial insurer and Medicare & Medicaid, billing codes and units, as well as CPT-code for medical devices
• Demonstrated experience in handling patient enquiries for receiving treatment overseas
• 10 years experience working with eating disorder patients OR a university qualification in a Behavioural Sciences or Health Sciences field, plus 5 years relevant experience with patients with eating disorder
• Excellent communication skills, including high competency in spoken and written English.
• Strong IT and computer skills, including use of databases and patient record management systems
• Demonstrated ability to maintain absolute confidentiality regarding client and practice information
• Demonstrated understanding and working knowledge of the Mandometer treatment programs
• Demonstrated business management skills including financial, human resource and performance planning and management
• Demonstrated organization skills to: undertake multiple tasks, work with limited direction and supervision, prioritize work, take initiative, flexibility of working under pressure and meet deadlines.
