Swedish Development Advisers (SDA) is a consultancy company that works with bilateral and multilateral development agencies. The company performs system-based audits, organizational reviews and evaluations for organizations such as Sida, Norad, the civil society and other international development agencies. SDA operates in transition and developing countries and the position requires that the candidate can travel independently in most assignments. The head office is in Gothenburg, Sweden.

Job description:
• Carry out system-based audits, organizational reviews and evaluations of both Swedish and foreign organizations on behalf of international donor organizations. The candidate will evaluate the organizations' financial and administrative routines and analyze if they fulfill given requirements. This will include assessing the organization's:
a. Governance systems
b. Project management and operational systems
c. Financial control, bookkeeping and procurement systems
• Actively participate in the process of finding new assignments for the company (preparation and submission of tenders to clients).
• Data collection in Sweden and abroad as well as analysis and presentation of the results to the client.
• Company administrative work and documenting projects.
On-the-job training will be offered to the candidate in topics such as tender preparation, project planning, project follow up and administration as well as on specific methodologies and tools needed to perform assignments for clients.
The position will require extensive travelling on her/his own. The candidate will be trained by our team of consultants and have the possibility to "shadow" our consultants initially.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Graduate degree (a Bachelor's degree or a Master's degree) is required preferably, in business administration/finance.
• Minimum five-years working experience in business administration/management/audit.
• Outstanding oral and written skills in English. The candidate will be required to submit written proof of this.
PREFERRED:
• Experience of working in developing countries.
• Experience from working in or with civil society organizations.
• Fluency in an additional language.
• Diligence and detail-oriented.
