As you can imagine, keeping track of over 1 500 000 connected customer assets rolling around the world isindeed a challenge. Now ponder, that vehicles in a few years will be autonomous - and you've got thechallenge of your life. Our Technology team manages the development and maintenance of our globalconnectivity platform - and your experience is needed. Connectivity is a key enabler for fleet management,uptime services and advanced vehicle services like driver assistance and fuel reduction, targeting reducedcosts as well as increased revenues for our customers.
We are now looking for a Senior Java Backend Developer in the Customer Fleet Management domain within Technology, Supporting Services product area.
The role
Develop new software applications according to our standards and software development best practices
Deploy, operate, troubleshoot and maintain our applications incl. driving continuous improvement of the same for better quality, functionality, cost effectiveness, etc.
Drive the solution design of new features and services
And last but not least, continuously reflect upon how we are doing things and where we can improve.
Your profile
We are looking for a Java developer with a positive and enthusiastic attitude, excellent analytical skills, great atproblem-solving, passionate about technology and someone who love developing software applications! In thisteam we are curious about everything at work and have a "can do" attitude solving our challenges together,making sure to complete each sprint as planned. We would like our new colleague to have this same curiosity,drive and being a team player.
Your personality is your major reason for success, but we expect this profile:
A university degree in computer science, software engineering, or similar
A couple of years of working experience as Software Engineer using Java 8 (or later) using Springframework and developing micro services as Springboot applications.
Experience in asynchronous programming and messaging (JMS) based integrations.
Experience in MongoDb, Postgres, OpenAPI and Amazon cloud services
Coding best practices (like DRY etc) are part of your mindset, and of course you use test automationframeworks.
Hands-on experience of ELK/Kibana and Grafana, working "DevSecOps".
Knowledge about Javascript/React is a great plus.
Fluent in English - both written and spoken. At least basic Swedish is expected as well.
