What does your workday look like?
Our IT team is managed from Denmark with colleagues in all countries included in the Knauf Northern European Group. You will be located at our facility in Åhus, although supporting and coordinating not only the Åhus unit, but also our two other Swedish units in Sävsjö and Ekenäsjön.
As an IT Supporter at Knauf Danogips your main tasks - apart from being 1st level support in Sweden - will be taking leadership and responsibility for a broad range of IT issues in Sweden.
For example:
• Operational and maintenance of local networks, servers, basic systems and telephone system
• Surveillance of local back ups
• Purchasing and installation of computers and printers
• Handling and coordination of local software applications
• Responsible for compliance in correlation with global IT politics
• Counselling and participating in IT related projects
• Provide technical insight, advice, and potential solutions
• Demonstrate 'best practice ' in business systems and their use
• Ensure security and resilience of IT systems and processes
• Facilitate knowledge and training for local teams
• Ensure IT systems are secure and protected according to global standards
Your good collaboration skills will come in handy when working closely with regional and global IT, and there will be an opportunity to broaden this role to also include global support within the Northern Group.
Who are you?
You are a distinct team player who possess strong social skills, and appear as an outgoing and extroverted person seeking collaboration. In addition to that, you have a structured, driven, and goal-oriented approach which gets things done with a strong focus on delivering the best service. The role requires you to take leadership and great responsibility for your tasks.
You probably hold a relevant, medium-length, IT technician degree. If not, longer working experience in the above-mentioned tasks will also be considered. We assume that you have experience from operation- and maintenance of networks, systems and backups. You are used to handling a lot of ongoing support tasks, and has previously been involved in the testing and documentation of new software solutions and hardware.
The business language within Knauf Danogips is English, which means you need proficiency in English. Driving license is a requirement.
