Scania is currently undergoing an exciting transformation from a traditional truck manufacturer to a provider of complete sustainable transport solutions. IT is a crucial part of this transformation as Scania's success depends on flexible and efficient IT solutions that support current and future business requirements.

In the next few years, we see exciting transformational projects driven by new business models and Industry 4.0. We are also implementing a new ERP system to modernize our system landscape and support growing business demands. This will dramatically change how we conduct business, and we need a new valued team member to help us on this digitalization journey.

About the job

As a project manager for Battery Production, a cornerstone in Scania's eMobility program, you will plan, act, and follow up on projects while collaborating with business, IT, and suppliers to execute activities and share results with stakeholders within Scania.

You will focus on projects with consideration for how handover and maintenance will be affected. You will work in different teams on various projects, always keeping the quality of the delivery in mind.

Many projects are initiated and driven by business where IT is a part of the delivery, making you a part of business projects while also running the IT project to meet business goals.
We work closely with robots and industrial equipment, requiring on-site presence to understand our customers' needs. As a project manager, you will have regular meetings on the shop floor as well as workshops in the office to understand needs and dependencies for different stakeholders. This job requires on-site presence most of the time.

As a project manager, you will be part of strategy and development planning and have internal responsibilities in OKR work. You will be part of a team with diverse tasks, always keeping the customer in mind.

Responsibilities

Work primarily with the battery production unit and closely with other areas connected to battery production to secure processes to and from production.
Collaborate with different development teams to verify the completeness and functionality of various deliveries.
Support Battery Production in purchasing new equipment by verifying connectivity and signal exchange, which may involve working at the supplier's site or our office, depending on the situation.
Work closely with business stakeholders and other IT stakeholders, including project managers, business analysts, line managers, product owners, and resources in other Scania IT departments.
Maintain a collaborative mindset to ensure business needs, architectural perspectives, and standards are fully considered and secured in the IT solution at the battery factory.

Desired Qualifications

At least 5 years of experience as a project manager with documented experience in large projects.
Education within IT at a university level.
5 years of work experience within IT.
Skilled in structuring and visualizing progress and problems.
Ability to explain different perspectives at various levels, from simple to complex, depending on the need and audience.
Good interpersonal skills.
Excellent communication and presentation skills in English and Swedish.

Experience with ERP, MES, and SCADA systems and knowledge of Industry 4.0 is a plus.

Who you are

To thrive in this position, we believe you are a curious and structured individual with an interest in various technologies and stay up-to-date with different techniques and methodologies.
We value personal characteristics and encourage you to apply even if you don't meet all the requirements for the job.
You have a positive mindset and enjoy networking and collaboration rather than working alone.
You value presence in the factory or office and find energy in meeting other people.

What we offer

Scania is on a journey with a strong purpose: to drive the shift towards a sustainable transport system. To get there, we have gathered a diverse team with talented and fun colleagues, endless development opportunities and good work-life balance. We work a mix of remote and in office. Our offices are activity based with a lot of creative spaces in Södertälje, and we also have a new office hub close to the central station in Stockholm. Furthermore, you are offered annual bonus, lunch to reduced prices, wellness contribution and much more.
