Sandvik Tooling IT supports the OTD and Sales processes and are responsible for global IT processes and have the responsibility for understanding and translating business requirements into IT requirements. Sandvik Tooling IT are also responsible for development and enhancement of IT systems, and are in the process of replacing the main systems and changing to SAP.
We are now looking for an IT Process Developer who will play an important role in the further development of the area.
Key performance areas
As IT Process Developer in the OTD and sales area, your main tasks include:
• Working with the business requirements for achieving smoothly functioning IT systems that support the Sandvik business processes in the best possible way
• Running research/projects in order to specify needs and requirements for developing IT processes and affected systems within OTD
• Contributing to overall co-ordination of IT systems and processes within OTD and sales
• Providing support and assistance for users of existing systems
• Managing documentation and education activities and participating in/supporting implementation of new solutions
• Identifying and prioritizing systems development/maintenance
• Managing acceptance testing
The position includes some travel.
Your profile
You hold a Masters or Bachelors degree in a relevant field or have the equivalent knowledge and experience gained in some other manner. To be successful in your role it is vital that you have an understanding of the OTD process and how IT and business interacts. Previous experience of and participation in projects within implementation, development and support of IT systems and process development is an advantage, as is experience with SAP.
As a person you are structured, pedagogical and service-orientated. You are industrious, energetic and know how to get things done with good results. Furthermore, you have the ability to build and maintain networks and can communicate well with those who provide requirements, consultants and international contacts. You have good skills in both written and verbal English.
