The section Indirect Purchasing - IT provides specific IT competence to Purchasing at Volvo Car Group. Our role is to mainly serve the Global IT department within Volvo Car Group with different sourcing activities, supplier- market- and spend analysis, contract management as well as governance towards our current and potential suppliers. Our generic task as a staff function is to support, but also to challenge in order to improve the way IT supports the overall objectives for Volvo Car Group. We constantly seek to develop ourselves through best practices to better serve the challenges ahead and contribute to Volvo Car Group's growth plan and other business objectives.
As Strategic IT License Buyer you are responsible for handling large investments of required IT Licenses for the Volvo Cars organisation. The range of licenses covered consist mainly of the major License providers as Microsoft, SAP, and Oracle down to manufacturing licenses as Catia and TeamCenter. Your main task is to strategically and tactically manage, optimise and rationalise the license portfolio and support internal stakeholders. This is a new role in our team and there's a big opportunity to form and personalize the role. Main responsibilities
• Support and closely work with VCC IT License Specialists and IT Stakeholders in IT License sourcing activities
• Lead sourcing preparations and license optimization work to obtain best possible license solution for VCC
• Form, establish and lead the strategic direction within the IT License area
• Lead commercial and contractual negotiation with suppliers within the IT License area
• Responsibility for IT License supplier relationship and supplier governance
• Find and realize saving opportunities within the IT License area
Required qualifications
• University degree or equivalent working experience
• Long professional experience within the License Management area
• Buyer/negotiation experience
• Fluent in English, both verbally and in writing
• Meritorious is deep knowledge within the Microsoft, SAP and Oracle license areas as well as knowledge in Catia, TeamCenter and other Manufacturing licenses
• Meritorious is Contract Management experience and Supplier relation/governance experience
• Preferably experience of form-, lead- and establishment an IT License sourcing strategy
