The position is within Volvo Cars IT and a sub unit called Application Management Services (AMS). The successful candidate will be a main interface for service deliveries between IT and business within the area of Technical Services at Volvo Cars Customer Service and will be a key resource to drive the applications as well as the business forward.
The main responsibility is to manage IT application services for Technical Services both from an application functionality perspective as well as from a business relations perspective. In house applications included are, among others, a core system for repairing and servicing Volvo cars at work shops, i.e. TIE (Technical Information Exchange) application.
Examples of activities an ordinary week:
The application/service is down - Co-ordinate & communicate according to the incident management process:
Support the resolver groups in solving an incident reported to VCC Service Desk - coordinate supplier and infrastructure resources as local incident manager
Evaluate Service Desk statistics of incidents with 6? tools to suggest and implement quality improvement changes
Participate in various teams within the department to suggest and implement process improvements
A New Development program/project puts new demands on an application within the responsibility - manage Change Requests in the CR process:
Plan, govern & follow up together with supplier maintenance responsible if applicable and sign off Application Maintenance checklist
Deliver according to VCC Security Control Process requirements/or evidence gathering - plan, govern, perform & follow up Security Control Process together with supplier maintenance responsible if applicable
Supervise that suppliers keep defined SLAs
Participate as SME and/or Maintenance Responsible in projects
Answer questions and issues that are application/service related
Steer questions and issues from business to correct resolver group at VCIT
Participate in relevant meetings related to the application/service
Required Qualifications:
Understanding and experience from the automotive industry
Strong Customer Orientation
Understands Day to Day IT operations
Knowledge in Customer Service business processes that IT services supports
Knowledge in the Customer Service business logics and information relevant for IT services
Knowledge in strategic Life Cycle Planning, Review and Reporting
Understands the business value of the service during its Life Cycle and is able to plan, review and report related to this
Understands both worlds of project and line organization to secure a smooth collaboration with customer value perspective
Knowledge in ITIL processes
Knowledge in Maintenance Establishment
Can take lead in incident and problem management related to the service
Effective in communication (written, presentation, oral)
Has a structured way of working and documenting
Works naturally with continuous improvements
Experience:
IT Service Management, governance and business process support
IT projects
Technical and business context relevant for IT application/service
A global IT and business environment
Planning, governing & following up of third party suppliers responsible for an IT application/service
Setting up support chain for IT service and hand shake with all parties
DITS, the development framework within VCIT
Required Education:
University degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field
Fluent in Swedish and English, both oral and written
