We are now looking for an IPR Commercialization Manager to join our team at Patent Unit Lund. Do you want to work in a business with cutting edge technology in one of the most impactful patent departments in the world? Apply now!
You will work with a wide array of tasks directed to protecting and utilizing Ericsson's inventions in support of Ericsson's business. This will involve working in close cooperation with the R&D organization and the strategic departments of the IP organization. In the current position there is some freedom to shape the job based on the competences and interests of the right candidate.
Your main responsibilities will include the following:
Capturing inventions and handling the life cycle of your own portfolio with many tasks performed by outside counsel.
Investigating the relevance and the scope of Ericsson's patents and application in collaboration with technical experts using via claim charts.
Driving projects within the department.
Ensuring that R&D, Commercial and Legal management functions are fully aware of the significance of patent matters in their own areas of responsibility.
Managing patent portfolios of particular technologies or products.
Investigating and supporting licensing and sales opportunities for Ericsson's patents.
Assessment of the nature and desired extent of patent protection in support of Ericsson's business.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have either a strong technical background within ICT or be an experienced patent professional interested in working with claim charts and driving projects. For a candidate with ICT background, it is important to have a keen interest in the legal and business strategic aspects of intellectual property and in developing in this area. Experience with intellectual property is an advantage but not a requirement. Also, you must be
self-motivated and have a strong drive to accomplish tasks and ensure that Ericsson maximizes the value of its know-how through proper intellectual property management; and
MSc or PhD in a relevant technical field such as electronic engineering, applied physics, computer science, and ICT.

You should have good analytical and communication skills, and the ability to collaborate in cross- functional teams and to drive projects. Your written and spoken English should be excellent.
