We are looking for you who have broad and in-depth expertise in several IT areas. This together with a strategic and analytical ability that makes it easy for you to see the potential for improvement and opportunities to standardise, automate and streamline our internal IT environment considering the best interests of the business.
You need to be driving and able to keep many initiatives moving at the same time. You also have the ability to understand what is important from a business perspective to be able to prioritize accordingly.
Our Internal IT environment, that serve our employees, is to a great extent built on Microsoft technologies and VMware virtualization. You will also find Linux based solutions plus some parts and systems are based on cloud solutions.
You will work out of our Kista office in Sweden and will join a small team where parts of the team are in other countries mainly within Europe. Because we also work with virtual teams in our own delivery organization, you need to possess project manager skills as working with deliveries from the virtual teams becomes an important ingredient for driving improvements.
Role and responsibilities
As the Internal IT Group Architect, you will be part of our Internal IT team that currently consist of two employees, one manager and one senior systems engineer. You will report to Head of Internal IT that also works out of the Kista office. Since we are a small team you will work both hands on as well as on a more strategic level covering all areas of an internal IT organisation.
The role includes below responsibilities:
• Coordinate and drive standardisation and development across the different IT disciplines
• Identify areas with potential improvements and drive change such as security, efficiency and automation
• Ensure architecture for the server environment is maintained and developed
• Support and collaborate with other parts of the Internal IT organisation
• Lead smaller projects and initiatives
• Act as an Internal IT Specialist in business projects
• Contribute in evaluating and implementation of new infrastructure functions and business systems
• Install and maintain systems and applications
• Create and maintain documentation
• Contribute in technical procurements
• Lifecycle Management
The role will be included in on-call schedules, and work out of office hours will sometimes be required.
Since we are an international company the job involves some travel.
Education and Qualifications
The person we are seeking preferably have university grade education in relevant fields or equivalent work experience. You need to have minimum 5 years of experience from similar positions.
Required experience:
• Windows Server, Red Hat and Cent OS
• VMware and Microsoft Hyper-V
• Project Management
The person we are seeking also needs to have good skills in documenting and be able to easily communicate both orally and in writing.
Since we are working in an international environment English is our group language, so it is important that you are fluent in English both orally and in writing.
Car driver's license is a requirement.
Personal characteristics
To thrive in this role you need to be proactive and you are used to work independently, you have a strong personal leadership, you are careful and clear in your communication and have good interpersonal skills. The work involves many contacts and you work structured and are humble in your approach and support the organisation in the manner required.
