At Sandvik Coromant we're now looking for an Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) Engineer - an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to combine technology, data, and innovation in a role with significant influence and development potential.
About the Job
In this role, you're responsible for developing and implementing IIoT solutions by selecting the right sensors and devices, building communication networks, and developing/specifying software to analyze and act on collected data. You work with connecting, configuring, and analyzing data from sensors and industrial systems. You serve as a key link between our product and application development teams and the Research & Technology Business Solution unit, where you define requirements and work on our R&D data platform.
Your main responsibilities include:
Developing systems for automated monitoring and control of industrial processes.
Optimizing processes and improving product quality using collected data.
Ensuring IIoT systems operate optimally and that data flow is reliable.
Collaborating with other engineers and technicians to integrate solutions into existing systems.
Acting as a bridge between R&D, IT and workshop operations by translating needs across departments.
You're based at our site in Sandviken, and we apply a hybrid work solution.
Your Profile
We're looking for someone with a background in OT and IT or experience in a similar role. You have knowledge in measurement technology, database management, networking, and cloud services, as well as experience of programming, industrial automation, data analysis, or similar technical fields. An engineering degree in computer science, automation, or a related area is a plus, but not mandatory. Acting in a global environment calls for proficiency in English and Swedish, both verbally and in writing.
You're analytical, solution-oriented, and have strong communication skills - you're outgoing and collaborate effectively with others to drive and lead changes as well as improving established ways of working. You're curious, proactive, and use technology to improve industrial performance.
Our culture
Innovation is in our DNA and we're proud to shape the future of manufacturing in close collaboration with our customers and partners. We believe in an inclusive, equal and open-minded culture, and we nurture our diversities to form a solid foundation for achieving great results.
