The arena
This role is in the Global Tax team of AstraZeneca, which is part of the Finance function and provide quality financial analysis, working closely with the other specialist finance areas and business to provide financial and qualitative analysis or generate information such as cost drivers, in-country analysis within both current and future planned activity.
There are 65 members of the Tax team and Indirect Tax team is made up of 16 people based in four countries. Two of the team already based in Sweden and this new role will support the work done by the Swedish team.
The role will be based in Södertälje, Sweden, one of AZ?s main hub countries.
The role
Assists with clerical finance duties to support day-to-day administration of policies and programs covering Tax
Produce monthly financial information for the completion of Indirect Tax returns
Develop effective relationships and communication with internal and external stakeholders
Work in accordance with company procedures to ensure departmental processes are accurately recorded and recognized
Minimum experience
Educational level: Swedish "gymnasium" or equivalent
At least 3 years of administrative work experience
Basic accounting knowledge
Good IT skills, particularly Microsoft applications (and preferable Excel)
Good Swedish and English skills, both orally and in writing
Preferred experience/requirements
Tax involves compliance with legislation and completion of returns following specific rules, therefore attention to detail and an ethical approach are very important. Important to be able to keep focus in stressful situations since the compliance work involves working against deadlines.
