Main tasks and responsibilities
Key responsibilities you'll be taking on include defining specifications for components and systems alongside Chief Engineers and the hydraulic system group, creating development plans, ensuring product compliance with all necessary requirements, and coordinating design across our Mobile Equipment products. You'll also be the crucial link between service, production, and supplier issues, maintaining strict standards, and managing project timelines.
Your keen eye for design will be instrumental in selecting the most appropriate solutions, materials, and components for each project, while your proactive approach will lead you to initiate and order testing for design verification and evaluation. You'll also be visiting customers and suppliers, purchasing components for tests and evaluations, and regularly reporting to the Powertrain and Hydraulics Manager.
What you'll need to succeed
If you possess a B.Sc or M.Sc. degree in a relevant field or have accumulated similar knowledge through hands-on experience, we're interested in you. Experience with non-road mobile machinery, mechanical engineering product development, and familiarity with other Kalmar products will also be highly regarded.
Our ideal candidate has a business-oriented mindset, customer-focused approach, and excellent communication skills in English. Proficiency in engineering tools used by Kalmar, analytical and structural capabilities, result orientation, problem-solving skills, and a positive attitude round out our list of sought-after qualities.
