About us
At Volvo Product Creation & Quality (P&Q) you will be a key contributor to the next generation of outstanding luxury BEV vehicles from Volvo Cars. Together with other engineers around the world, you and your team will create innovative human-centric car technology that makes life less complicated and more enjoyable for people.
Our group 97720, Inverter HW & Electric Machine Complete, consists of 2 teams and about 20 engineers; we are now looking to reinforce the Electric Machine Complete team.

What you will do
As a Developer in the Electric Machine Complete team, you will work with Requirement Engineering to deliver Design Prerequisites, Technical Regulations, Contractual Elements and Compliance Agreements with suppliers in terms of Electrical Machines.
You will take lead and drive Tier1 & built-to-print suppliers which includes leading technical design reviews, internal and supplier joint reviews and follow up on verification activities.
Your tasks will also include Cost engineering, benchmarking and reporting status/progress together with Quality Assurance disciplines such as FMEAs, Robust Engineering, ISO 26262.
A close co-operation within the team and across Vehicle Propulsion is crucial, to enable the future implementation of the most desirable Electric Axle Drives.
This role also includes agile way of working co-operation, within team and with backlog deliverables, related to each program increment (PI), to reach established and agreed team targets and solutions.
You and your skills
You are a team player with strong communications skills who like to collaborate and contribute to a good team spirit. You have a genuine interest to continuously learn and develop your skillset in El Drive technology/development. You are a fast learner with an analytical and solution-based mindset. Your technical competence and your interaction with different teams created a great atmosphere for innovative solutions. .You are business oriented, flexible and performance driven with the courage to take decisions and be accountable.
You have a University degree within Electrical Engineering or similar.
Experience with Volvo Product Development System (VPDS) and tools such as KDP, VPC/QOP, EiDB, Teamcenter, Elektra, Car/System weaver, Scrum/Agile/Scaled Agile work practices is a merit
