The department Electric Propulsion System Engineering is responsible for development of all major part of hybrid and electric vehicle systems. Sub-systems as HV Batteries, Electric Drives, Power supplies, Chargers etc. are some of our responsibilities. EPS is a new and expansive part within R&D where Electric Drive and Power Electronics with its El machines is the key to deliver competitive electrical propulsion systems. The team are skilled, innovative and have a high passion of the area.
As a HW Design Engineer Electric Drives you will work with requirements from System Designers deliver Design Prerequisites, Technical Regulations, Contractual Elements and Compliance Agreements with suppliers.
Main responsibilities
• Requirement engineering with elements such as performance, efficiency, EMC, electrical, mechanical, thermal, manufacturing, service requirements
• Responsible for component geometry
• Quality Assurance disciplines such as FMEAs, Robust Engineering, ISO 26262
• Participate in test activities and follow up on supplier verification
• Lead Technical Design reviews, internal and supplier joint reviews
• Cost engineering and benchmarking
• Report status and progress
Required qualifications
• University degree within engineering or equivalent competence
• Relevant work experience relative to development of Electrical Machines, Electrical Drive Systems or Automotive R&D
• Fluent in English (written and spoken)
• Drivers license B
