hela Sverige This role consists of two main responsibilities - first, as Global Health Safety and Environment (HSE) Manager for FACTS and FACTS Service, you will work together with the Global Management Team and LSAs within FACTS to set out targets, strategies and improvements but also follow up on statistics and reports within HSE. You will also be responsible for reports and investigations of HSE incidents, including feedback on lessons learned and best practice from own unit and across ABB to management and employees.
You will drive behavioral change through implementing group-wide performance improvement programs and practices to ensure an exemplary health and safety culture as well as a strong focus on environment throughout the organization in alignment with business unit and division initiatives.
Secondly, as local HSE Manager for FACTS and FACTS Service, Sweden, you will promote and ensure health and safety of employees; assist line managers and supervisors in understanding obligations, liability and how to fulfill their roles. You will also in close collaboration with the HUB Manager drive the HSE work for the business. In addition, you will support our HSE work in tenders and projects, performing HSE risk assessments and site safety assessments etc.
To succeed in this role, it is crucial that you have previous experience or are currently working with HSE, perhaps in the building and construction sector, whereas experience from the power industry is a merit. It is a plus if you hold a Bachelor degree in Engineering. You are a flexible, pragmatic and diplomatic professional, able to convey different opinions without conflict. You are proactive, look for opportunities and take responsibility for the projects you run. You have excellent communication and collaboration skills and are able to successfully persuade and influence colleagues on different levels. To communicate in English is essential for this position, whereas fluency in Swedish is a plus.
You will be a part of FACTS, a business unit within the Power Grids division. FACTS technology enables power systems owners to increase the capacity of their existing power systems while improving electrical stability at the same time. The end result is more electrical power can reach consumers with minimal environment impact after shorter project times and at lower investment costs. This pioneering technology is developed at the FACTS unit in Västerås and sold to customers worldwide.
