About the Role
Icomera is looking for a Head of Video Surveillance. In this role you will be responsible for leading and managing our new Video Surveillance department, which consists of two specialized teams: the Video Management System (VMS) team and the Video Analytics team. This role involves overseeing project management, ensuring compliance with legal regulations, developing and expanding the department, setting requirements for the software development teams, and leading projects to enhance our video surveillance capabilities.
As Head of Video Surveillance you will lead the development of a new department with two new product categories. You will collaborate with other departments to align with business goals and ensure that the products meet the current and future market demands. You will lead and mentor a dynamic team of software developers, promoting a culture of innovation and technical excellence.
Your responsibilities:
Establish and grow the Video Surveillance department, aligning with company goals and objectives.
Develop strategies to enhance product efficiency and effectiveness.
Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment.
Lead and manage multiple video surveillance projects from inception to completion.
Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets.
Ensure all video surveillance activities comply with relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
Stay updated on industry standards and legal changes impacting video surveillance.
Implement policies and procedures to maintain compliance.
Define and set requirements for the two software development teams within the Video Surveillance department.
Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Provide regular updates on project status, department developments, and compliance matters.
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, stakeholders and partners.
In this role you report to CTO Mats Karlsson. The position is based in our Gothenburg office at Odinsgatan 28 in central Gothenburg, a few minutes' walk from the central station. At Icomera, we apply a hybrid work environment with the majority of working hours at the office.
Who You Are
Bachelor's degree in business administration, computer science, engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
Proven experience in project management and leadership roles.
Strong knowledge of legal and regulatory aspects related to video surveillance.
Experience in developing and expanding departments or teams.
Ability to set and manage software development requirements.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Fluent in English
