The Head of Supply Chain will be in charge of setting up and executing the long term procurement and logistics strategy for key raw materials and equipment for SGF Energy and reporting to the COO, the Head of Supply Chain and his/her team will have to recommend the incoming raw material streams and the appropriate point of entry (or Tier) in the value chain to negotiate. With awareness of worldwide sources but a priority set on nearby/European resources, the candidate shall build a total landed cost model which includes logistics, cost of inventory and investment to insource partially or completely certain parts of the material preparation process. The Head of Supply Chain will also be in charge of the procurement of dedicated manufacturing equipment for the production unit.
Curious, technically educated and with a strong business background, the candidate shall justify of a successful track record of scaling Supply Chain operations in a fast growing environment ideally in the energy or automotive industry. The candidate must have had exposure to metal trading (preferably Nickel, Cobalt, Aluminum, Copper) and knowledge of the mining industry around battery primary and materials secondary. Entrepreneur, team builder, able to assess and handle risks, he or she shall have a perfect command of English. Knowledge of the Japanese language and culture would be a plus.
The position will be based in Stockholm, with frequent business trips worldwide.
