Tasks and responsibilities:
The Role
In the position as Head of Service Desk you will build a new part of the IT-function. You are responsible for developing and handling the service desk function. This means that you receive tasks that you in some cases solve by yourself and in other cases escalate tasks to your colleagues within the IT-function. This will be decided by time and resources from your side.
Your tasks will involve the day-to-day contact with both internal and external clients. The issues you handle are for example related to creating user accounts, system configurations and troubleshooting. Furthermore, you are responsible of purchasing user devices (laptops, phones, etc.) and prepare it for the users. Finally, you set routines for the introduction of- and introduce new employees into the IT-landscape.
In the future you are responsible for expanding the service desk function and this includes recruitment and may include personnel responsibility.
Education, Experience and Personal characteristics:
Education and Experience
• Previous working experience from a service desk
• Experience of windows, Mac and network
• Proficient in English, both verbally and in writing, Swedish is a merit
• Previous experience of a role as a team leader is a merit
We are looking for a person with integrity, who is comfortable with taking responsibility of a team and lead them in their work. You are expected to structure and develop the service desk function forward. Since the position has broad responsibilities, we are looking for a humble person who can work with both large and small tasks. The role will consist of many contact areas and you will be responsible for helping others - which is why you also need to be service-minded and have an ability to solve problems.
