In the role as Head of IT Operations you will inspire, build, and lead the teams working to secure our most precious asset: our cloud and on-prem infrastructure, databases as well as internal IT solutions. You will have the opportunity to lead our fantastic team of Network, Infrastructure, DevOps, and Database engineers who have created a highly available and stable platform over the past couple of years.
This includes:
• Qliro's Infrastructure (server and network hardware, storage, backup, ISPs, virtualization, load balancing, data centers, public cloud)
• Qliro's development environment and tools (Gitlab, orchestration tools, ...)
• Qliro's client/employee platforms (among all laptops, phones, Active Directory, Office 365, VPN, ... )
• Qliro's Database management and administration
In your job, you and your team will be at the forefront in the migration of our infrastructure to our new fully automated, top-of-the-line infrastructure set-up. In parallel, we are also moving applications to the cloud and our long-term strategy is to fully migrate away from our on-prem infrastructure. Over the next couple of years, you'll create an organization aiming toward industry leadership in terms of how to apply modern technology that pushes all of Qliro to work smarter and more efficiently.
You will also be an active part of the Tech Management team, collaborate with other leaders in the organization in order to make technology a competitive edge for Qliro. You will also have full budget and staff responsibility including hardware, licenses, and consultants.
We are looking for someone who...
• Is an experienced leader of agile organizations with your own learnings and insights from how agile can be successfully applied in an IT Operations organization
• Has a background from the IT Operations and infrastructure domain, but with a broad experience base within Information Technology
• Has seen the light in terms of how DevOps and Infrastructure as Code can help a company that needs to move fast
• Experience from AWS is highly beneficial
• Willingness to participate and influence the strategic dialogue in the company and relate that into relevant direction and goals for your teams
• Is strong in communication and collaboration
• Master's degree in engineering or technical management
• Is fluent in spoken and written English
• Has a valid work permit within the European Union
