What you will do
At Volvo CE, we don't just build machines; we build the future we want to live in. Our core plant in Eskilstuna, where around 1000 dedicated colleagues work, is central to that mission. We manufacture axles and transmissions for Wheel Loaders, Articulated Haulers and Trucks - components that power the machines shaping the world around us.
In this role, you will lead a committed team of material handlers while also helping to shape our future logistics system.
In these teams, every employee is involved in both keeping our commitments to our customers every day and building tomorrow through continuous improvement.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with production, quality, other logistics areas, and sometimes suppliers. You will be both a strategist and a coach, with a clear focus on improving quality and efficiency in our workflows.
You will work in an operation where safety, quality, and sustainability are core values - and growth and development are business as usual.
Your future team
You will lead a team of around 25 people who work with internal material handling from goods reception to material at point of use.
The role involves a high degree of cross-functional collaboration with mainly internal stakeholders. To thrive in this position, you should be comfortable in networking and enjoy communicating and sharing knowledge across functions to reach our common goals.
You will become a part of the logistics management team and in that role contribute to the development of the plant outside your own direct area of responsibility.
Who are you?
We are looking for someone with a genuine interest in both people and continuous improvement. You are communicative, analytical, and solution-oriented - with a strong commitment to creating the right conditions for others to succeed. At Volvo we lead with passion, perform with purpose and transform with vision.
We believe that you have:
* Previous leadership experience, preferably within manufacturing or other flow-based operations
* Solid knowledge of logistics and problem-solving methodologies
* A coaching and inclusive leadership style
* The ability to think strategically while acting pragmatically.
We value diversity, openness, and flexibility - to us, the right attitude and willingness to grow are just as important as formal qualifications. A university degree is considered a strong plus but is not required. You must can communicate effectively in Swedish and English, both written and spoken.
What's in it for you?
Working with us means more than just having a job - it's about taking on a leadership role in a forward-looking industry where you truly can influence, grow, and make a difference.
At Volvo, you'll be part of a strong, value-driven culture grounded in respect, inclusion, and sustainability. You'll work alongside experienced colleagues who are ready to support you, and you'll have access to excellent opportunities for personal and professional development.
Whether you're looking to take the next step in your career in Sweden or explore opportunities across the Volvo Group globally, you'll find room to grow here.
At Volvo, you don't just build a career - you help build the future.
