Scania Financial Services (SFS) is serving Scania customers, dealers and distributors in some 60 markets through 15 captive business units by offering competitive and innovative financing and insurance solutions. Over 1.000 dedicated professionals manage a portfolio consisting of more than 160.000 trucks, buses, coaches and trailers representing some 100 bn SEK of assets financed and more than 100.000 insurance policies.

At the SFS Head Office located in Södertälje, the Front Office is responsible for the commercialisation of he complete range of our financial services product portfolio including Export & Trade finance solutions. The function drives and coordinates the development of sales processes, the customer journey and the financial services product and service portfolio. The team consist of 6 functions: Sales & Marketing, Customer Insurance, Export & Trade Finance, Business Development, Digital Officer and Scania Way. The work is conducted cross-functional with large contact areas towards our business units and markets, local market companies, segment groups and other product areas within Scania Sales and Marketing. The role is a permanent position. You report to the Vice President, Front Office.

Job description
Export & Trade Finance is a department within Financial Services, we manage trade, export and project finance solutions and act as a financial support and advisor to the Scania Group. Today the department consists of 7 persons covering and supporting Scania 's business globally.

Our current Head of the Department is moving on to a new challenge within the Scania Group and we are now looking for his successor. We are looking for a person with extensive experience in the area of export and project finance.

Key responsibilities and activities will be:

• Lead and further develop the Export & Trade finance team
• Active member of the Front Office management team
• Development and implementation of a global process and strategy in the field of Export & Trade finance
• Support the market organisation in finding third party financing for specific transactions/projects, involving risk cover providers such as commercial banks, multilateral banks, ECA 's and other risk insurers.
• Involvement in payment instruments, EKN and internal reporting ( i.e. Letters of Credit, Guarantees, Bills of Exchange etc )
• Approve payment terms and provide advice on risk mitigation
• Political and commercial risk assessment
• Credit evaluation and credit decisions within the established mandate

Job requirements
We are looking for an experienced and successful leader with extensive experience in the field of export and project finance. An important part of the role will be related to long term financing structures where you need to drive tailor made export or project finance solutions. We are involved in infrastructure projects adding complexity as many parties are involved. Experience from BRT (Bus Rapid Transport) and bus operating companies or equivalent will be considered as advantageous. Your active contribution in developing efficient project finance solutions will be essential. Another important part of our activities are in the field of Trade Finance. You need to have good knowledge of Trade Finance instruments such as letter of credit 's.

You have a strong drive and talent to work cross functional with many parallel projects at the same time. You will be involved in specific projects as well as leading and managing a team of senior specialists, therefore it is important to be flexible and find it easy to shift focus. A large part of the daily communication will be in English, therefore you need to be fluent in written and spoken English. Other languages are an advantage.

This position requires international traveling. Much of your daily contact will be cross functional within Scania as well as with Scania external counterparties such as Banks, PRI 's and other financial institutions. Social skills and multi-cultural understanding are important to better interact in the different work constellations. You need to have the ability to support sales and at the same time find creative structures to mitigate Scania risk.
