The new Technology Unit will consist of three units (Common Products, IT and Networks) with the purpose to serve as the strategic technology partner for the group, proactively providing expertise and options for scale. The Technology Unit is responsible for anticipating and addressing emerging technological needs, driving digital transformation initiatives, and enhancing operational efficiency. Our team collaborates closely with all business units to align technology investments with corporate objectives, fostering innovation, operational excellence, and resilience. We prioritize scalable, secure, and sustainable services and solutions that optimize infrastructure, leverage data intelligence, and improve customer experience, ensuring our technology capabilities stay ahead in a dynamic telecom landscape.
The Networks unit is responsible to architect, design, develop, operate and assure network platforms in Telia. For the central mobile networks, transport and service platforms the unit creates scale by operating it for all countries in a common way. The Control Center and Security Operation Center subunits also serves (in addition to Networks) IT and Services across Telia. We do this to serve our customers with innovative, high quality, secure, sustainable, and cost-efficient connectivity services. The units consist of 8 subunits within approximately 750 employees in total.
As the Head of Data Services
You will play a critical role in leading our Service & Quality Management and Solution Development across Fixed and Mobile Data Services. In this senior role, you will be an integral part of our Quality Management and Operations Leadership Team, supporting our Networks division as it navigates an ongoing transformation.
Your team's main objectives include delivering high-quality network services and managing cross-domain development projects for both mobile and fixed networks. You'll ensure continuity and capacity management for network services, as well as oversee operational reporting and performance insights for Networks. Key areas of focus include Mobile Data Services (mobile broadband, FWA, IoT, Private Networks, Roaming, Messaging, and more) and Fixed Data Services (B2C/B2B fixed connectivity, IPTV, VPN services, SD-WAN, and Mobile Backhaul).
Your primary responsibilities will be to lead initiatives that enhance service quality and performance across network domains, driving improvements in performance management and service continuity. You'll manage mobile capacity forecasting across regions and act as a functional problem solver for service-related issues. Additionally, you will champion large-scale solution development and optimization projects to drive efficiency and synergies across our network units, fulfilling our commitment to delivering top-tier network solutions.
We are looking for someone who has:
Over 7 years of experience in network services or development projects within telecommunications, including at least 3 years in a managerial role.
Proven expertise in managing both mobile and fixed network domains.
Strong understanding of network service continuity, capacity management, performance management systems, and network security.
Experienced in operational reporting and performance insights analytics.
Proficient in Agile Ways of Working (WoW), DevOps, the SAFe framework, ITIL, and DMAIC.
Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
A university degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
