About the role
We are currently establishing a new function, Corporate Functions Business Control, and are looking for a Head of Corporate Functions Business Control who will lead the function. I am looking for a leader who shares this ambition and can turn that vision into reality. In this role, you will build close partnerships with the business, develop a deep understanding of its priorities, and proactively increase transparency, collaboration, and strategic impact across the functions.
You will lead a strong team in a culture grounded in trust, openness, and mutual respect. With a coaching and empowering leadership style, you foster engagement, accountability, and continuous development - ensuring both high performance and a workplace where people thrive.
Responsibilities
• Lead and develop the Corporate Functions Business Control function, securing harmonised and high-quality business control support across all Corporate Functions.
• Develop and execute the Finance Strategy for Corporate Functions, strengthening financial steering, transparency, and value creation.
• Drive financial planning and performance management, including book closing, PR, PN, budgeting, investments, and monthly follow-up in close collaboration with Accounting (JB).
• Ensure structured follow-up of cost, KYC, and headcount to safeguard profitability, resilience, and capital efficiency.
• Oversee projects, investments, and fixed assets, ensuring funding alignment, financial accuracy, and long-term sustainability.
• Safeguard compliance with Scania Group Policies, financial regulations, and internal control frameworks, including risk reporting and contribution to the Corporate Governance Board.
• Drive continuous improvements, harmonisation of processes, and effective cross-functional collaboration.
Your profile
We are looking for a senior finance leader who can combine strong analytical capability with leadership and collaboration.
The ideal candidate has:
• A degree in finance, economics, business administration, or a related discipline.
• Approximately 10 years of relevant work experience in finance and business control
• Proven experience in financial leadership within complex organisations
• Strong track record in transformation and governance strengthening
• Professional fluency in English.
• Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills
