As the Head of Commercial Operations Control Global Functions at Polestar, you will be a critical driver of our ongoing success. Your focus on strengthening our financial analysis and controlling support for our global functions will help us optimize our resources and improve our bottom line. You will also play a key role in challenging our markets to improve revenues and cost efficiency, driving continuous improvement across our organization.
You will work closely with our markets to identify opportunities for improvement in our commercial sales processes, providing guidance and support where needed. Your leadership and expertise will be essential in helping us develop and grow Polestar, while ensuring transparent steering and effective use of resources.

This position is located at our HQ, in Gothenburg.
What your team does
• Establish functional benchmark and best practices for global functions for how to support revenue generation through the sales funnel as well as general cost efficiency in close interaction with the markets.
• Establish and improve upon existing management controlling and reporting practices in order to improve functional transparency.
• Identify key drivers and set up performance KPI follow up
• Monthly Financial reports
• Ad-Hoc Reporting and Analysis
• Accruals and approvals in assigned functions
What you'll do
•
Enable the organization to achieve primary goals improving sales efficiency and revenue generation, reducing cost, increase the efficiency and streamline processes
• Work in close interaction with operating management as a true business partner according to "Finance for Operations" philosophy and work proactively and be a part of the solution.
• Identify and mitigate risks to keep Polestar on a clear track towards its goals
• To be an integrated support and control function through producing timely insights reports, challenge management and be vocal
• To increase efficiency through driving and coordinating cross functional initiatives between digital and business functions
• Continuous improvement of the business and financial controlling function and processes in close interaction with the markets.
Who you are
You are a proven leader and a strong team player and eager to deliver on commitments. You have a can do attitude and thrive in a changing environment.
In order to be successful in this role:
• 8-12 years of relevant experience from a global financial controlling function or similar environment with a good understanding of consolidation and financial reporting in an IFRS environment
• Proven leadership background
• International experience is an advantage
• Strong business acumen and very good analytical skills
• Proficient in building structures and processes, and communicating information in a clear and concise manner
• Ability to plan, coordinate and execute work with many different stakeholders involved

Having a holistic mindset and good analytical skills are also key factors in this role as well as being highly organized and with a highly driven ability to roll-up sleeves and work with team members in a hands-on capacity as a team leader. Further, you are motivated by working independently and being able to think creatively and solution orientally.
