hela Sverige Division Packaging Material is now looking for a Head of Business - Sustainable Packaging Components in the New Business Development department. The position will be reporting to VP, New Business Development, Packaging Material.
Sustainable Packaging Components are parts of packages or whole packages that cannot be made from board. This is for example caps, and closure systems, jars and buckets. These are commonly produced from biocomposites of the DuraSense(r) brand.
Your role will be to successfully lead the business of Sustainable Packaging Components applications from business model creation to market entry and product launch to our existing and new customers with the ambition to reduce and replace plastics. Prerequisite for this job is the understanding of value creation to the customers who will be using the products. You must be business and sales result driven, a team builder and strong leader with entrepreneurial mind set. You will run a Stora Enso internal start up!
You will be working closely with our business units China, Container Board, Liquid Packaging Board and Carton board sales teams and naturally with Innovation and R&D as well as the Biocomposite business.
Your role is critical in ensuring successful commercialization of the new technologies, identifying and developing new and growing markets, and translating customer needs into new business leads for Stora Enso. This is a new and a very exciting role and you will have the opportunity to be part of the Packaging Material team by helping us to find ways towards a truly renewable materials company.
Responsibilites
• Lead the business model creation, commercialization, branding, launch and sales of the Sustainable Packaging Components applications.
• Identify and successfully develop jointly with sales teams lucrative business opportunities for our Sustainable Packaging Components technologies and products based on cellulosic feedstocks.
• Ensure a comprehensive analysis of the Sustainable Packaging Components industries, ecosystem and markets to underpin the creation of right value propositions.
• Effectively manage sales teams directly and in virtual networks and coach them to sales results with passion.
• Contribute to customer relationships management - customer visits, drive progression of the partnerships and adoption of the new products and technologies.
Qualifications
• An advanced degree in Business Administration, Natural Sciences and/or Material Sciences
• Prior experience in new market/business development and sales management
• A total working experience of minimum 5 years
• Experience from the plastic industry
• Good technical and application development knowledge in one or more of the following areas is a benefit: polymer & cellophane films, film extrusion, reinforced polymer composites/materials, paper and board, biomaterials
• Business acumen, consultative selling, dynamic passionate sales approach and entrepreneurial mind set play an important role in this position.
• Excellent communication skills, as well as the ability to build effective working relationships within multicultural teams across geographies.
• Fluent in English both written and spoken.
• Strong presentation, persuasion and negotiation skills.
• High willingness for extensive travel.
Location: Flexible but preferably Helsinki or Stockholm
