Verification & Validation Department
Verification & Validation department, part of Customer Quality Experience, is a function within Global Product Development (GPD) at Volvo Buses. We are responsible for build and maintain test objects ( from plan to final delivery) and to perform and develop tests to visualize and secure quality status of our products. The management team of V&V, 3 group managers, is working close together to develop our department to meet future challenges. We are all located in ARAL, Arendal, Gothenburg.
Group Manager Verification & Validation testing

We as the management team of Verification and Validation drive the development of our department and find the solutions together.
Verification & Validation department are now looking for a Group Manager for the team Verification and Validation testing. The team is today 17 persons with different competences and skills within testing. The flow thru the group starts with identifying, planning and preparing test needs. If needed development of test codes are required. After the test is performed, we analysis the test results and summarize our learnings in an engineering report. Within the team we also support development and quality with rote cause analysis and special testing from our measurement technology lab. All our learnings are shared within the team to secure best possible usage of the knowledge we have gained. The team is working in very close cooperation with our prototype workshop, product owner from platform development and test object preparation team. We contribute with facts and knowledge for continues development of busses.
Main tasks
In this role you will have the responsibility to develop the group and the people to support future challenges contributing to Volvo Buses profitability. Within this responsibility you will need to define, agree, communicate and execute strategies and targets for the group. Our test codes are under your responsibility, and we constantly need to develop our test codes to meet our customers' needs. Planning, prioritization, and direction setting for short- and long-term activities are part of your day-to-day activities. You will need to secure good networks within and outside of the Volvo Group
In this position you will report to Director of Verification & Validation.
Are you a match for us?
Good knowledge of testing, measurement equipment and tools
You have previous manager experience (project manager or line manager) and are really strong in communication.
Ability to describe dependability's and by that create understanding for how we contribute to our customers success
Business oriented with a clear customer focus, preferably from automotive
High technical interest and vehicle knowledge
Ability to recruit and develop effective teams were people take pride in being responsible for their complete deliveries and create a knowledge growing organization
