The section Connected Infotainment is responsible for developing Functions, System Solutions and Components within Driver Interaction and Infotainment in the following areas Bluetooth Telephony, Phone Integration, WiFi, In-Car Applications such as internet radio, internet navigation and internet audio books.
As a Group Manager you will lead the app team, and be involved in the entire process of developing new Car Applications. We create all the applications from scratch, with assistance from suppliers and developing music streams and maps. The application team consists of function owners, testers and developers and a Feature Team Leader. You will be responsible for budget and resources as well as for quality and control. Work takes place in close cooperation with several other groups within R&D, Marketing and Purchasing. We are developing the in car applications for several sites in Sweden, China and US.
Main responsibilities
* Ensure the technical development and documentation for function and systems e.g. SRD and FDR
* Identify and develop functional strategies and requirements on functional level
* Perform benchmark within technical area.
* Lead of the Technical Meeting for the Group - TMG
* Actively participate in the management team for "Connected infotainment"
* Competence development of the group and its employees
* Secure adequate development opportunities for the employees
Required qualifications
* M.Sc in Mechanical Engineering
* A genuine interest and engagement in management questions and development of personnel
* Good practical and theoretical understanding of agile SW development
* Experience of working in an international environment
* Experience of management
* Good knowledge in English, both written and spoken
* Documented experience of development working in the automobile industry, knowledge of Volvo Cars development process in general and the electrical development process or equivalent is meritorious

* Ability to independently plan, drive and follow up your work towards objectives
