THE TOOLING TEAM
Betsson is in the final stages of the development of a CLI tool that allows developers to deploy directly to their container platform. The CLI tool is built in Golang and integrates with their container setup as IaC (infrastructure as code), using Rancher, Kubernetes, and AWS cloud.
The next project will be to set up additional services for Developers which will enable them to utilize the infrastructure.
The main goal for the team is to speed up the developer's workflow through enablement, following lean development best practices. The team is mainly working with Mob Programming sessions and has an autonomous approach to their work.
TASKS
In this position, you will work with building the CLI tool to streamline and enhance the way they deploy their software. This includes automating everything - workflow and tool automation- such as deployments of distributed applications and infrastructure using various technologies.
The position also consists of, but is not limited to the following tasks:
• Setting up BDD Tests for new features which are being worked on (using Ginkgo and GoConvey testing frameworks)
• Mob-and-pair programming, lean software development, test-driven development.
• Planning session to kick off the week to see what features will be worked on during the week's mob sessions
• Releasing new features with a Continuous Delivery approach
• Discuss with team members what would be the best approach to build in the future
• Coaching and supporting developers with any questions they might have with utilizing the tools they are building, plus troubleshooting any issues which might occur
• Leveraging infrastructure API's to develop internal tooling
YOUR PROFILE
We see that you are a socially skilled person who contributes with your expertise in group discussions on where and how to move forward with the product. You should consider yourself as a "Doer" and are driven to deliver high-quality code.
Seen to the technical elements of the role, you are a skilled Golang developer, and you have relevant experience with some of the skills mentioned below.
• +3 years of experience in Go/Golang
• Scripting in Bash
• Docker Enterprise, Kubernetes, Rancher, and tools for interacting with these, such as Helm
It is also good to have some knowledge or interest in working with AWS Cloud infrastructure, CDNs, and other various systems.
