JOB DESCRIPTION
One of Axis’ main brand values are Knowledge and this role is important in the effort to further strengthen our position. As Global Video Engineer you will work as an expert within Axis in the area of on field image/video quality. As such you will create a structure to produce on field video efficiently. This includes: managing equipment, identifying available on field sites, personal network and work practices. In addition you will drive video creation/producing video, highlighting all technical aspects of on field video/image quality generally and for specific products.
In the role as expert you will assist in real case problem solving within the global sales engineering network as well as assist with practical work, equipment and participating in technical internal training, in Lund and out in the sales regions.
Furthermore this role will include to:
• Document best practices, check lists and other documents to spread your expertise
• Assist practically in other ways to highlight technical aspects of our products.
• Cooperate with HQ functions in creating on field Video.
The role involves around 50 days of travel a year, mostly to other continents.
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
Axis is looking for a senior engineer with a practical profile. We believe that the suitable candidate is self-governing with the ability to drive his/her agenda and at the same time cooperate with other departments to meet common goals. Furthermore we value a service minded attitude with a hands on personality.
The right candidate has a technical degree or extensive technical work experience. Documented experience from video or image quality, preferably in on field conditions, is required and experience from sales and project sales is considered meriting. It is also of great value if you have an IT background, specifically in IT system configuration.
We believe that you have an open attitude and clear networking skills, with an understanding of and appreciation for cultural differences.Fluent communication skills in English, both written and verbal, are mandatory and knowledge in other languages is a merit. As the job is based in Sweden, knowledge in or interest to learn Swedish is also a plus.
Apart from above we believe that you have following qualifications:
• A burning interest to build expertise competence around on field video/image quality
• A clear ambition to create an expertise role still open and humble for colleagues competence in the same field
• A personal drive and the ability to push your own area
THE SYSTEM AND SERVICES TEAM
System & Services is globally responsible for the service offering and technical solutions support. This includes product management for system functions and software, design and coordination responsibility for service and support offerings as well as project sales support and partner interface in technical and connected strategic matters. Global Sales Engineers are one of five groups within System & Services.
