Your mission
In this position, you lead your team and are overall responsible for the global planning and inventory control of our Solid Round Tools supply at distribution centers worldwide. You organize, lead and prioritize the work to reach and balance targets, service levels and net working capital and actively drive and participate in the sales and operations process. You're also responsible to manage all aspects of planning, strategic-, tactical-, demand-, and inventory control of finished goods. Using your own expertise and the teams' knowledge you improve our ways of working while strategically evaluating various scenarios and, you explore what networks and digital ways we need to implement to take us one step further in our next generation planning journey.
Your main tasks include:
Drive value chain optimization and efficiency
Managing segmentation of inventory and creating strategies and tactics with Production Units (PU) and regions for managing each category
Partnering with PU's, product managers and regional sales to define targets
Managing and developing your team
You're the Solid Round Tools representative in our Sandvik Coromant Global Planning Management team. The location for this position is globally flexible, however, we do prefer that you're located in Sandviken. Travel is normally included as a natural part of your agenda.
Your profile
We're looking for someone with a University degree, within Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance or Business Administration. In addition to your education, you have at least five years' experience as a line manager combined with a strong business acumen. You have a vast experience in, and a strong understanding of supply chain , planning and inventory management. Acting in a truly global environment calls for excellent English skills, both verbally and in writing
Understanding and managing analytical content and working cross-functionally comes naturally to you. You enjoy taking the lead in creating something new and use your convincing, yet humble, communication skills to leave a positive impact. Being transparent with your expectations give you the right tools to build a team culture that sets ambitious targets and aim for great results. Collaboration is in the core of your character, and your structured, inspiring and genuine ways are a winning combination in this role interacting and building trust with all people around you!
