We are now reinforcing our organization in Jonsered with a Global Purchasing Manager for our construction equipment.
Publiceringsdatum2011-05-05Dina arbetsuppgifterIn this position your overall responsibility is to secure quality, delivery, cost efficiency and sustainability of supply throughout the product lifecycle on a global level. You are ultimately in charge of all purchasing activities related to Construction Equipment on a global level as well as of all commercial relationships with suppliers. In this position you are also expected to:
• Manage a global purchasing team, ensuring alignment to the strategy and leading practices and lessons learned, use consistent methodologies, and pursue deliverables that are aligned with the corporate, purchasing and commodity objectives
• Build and maintain relationships with internal customers and other functions to ensure continuous improvement and that service level commitments are met
• Work to ensure purchasing is an integrated part of every new product development project
• Participate in Make or Buy decisions and provide a commercial and purchasing perspective in such decisions
Utbildning/erfarenhet
At a minimum, you have a Bachelor's Degree in business administration, engineering or other relevant discipline. Preferably, you have a Master's Degree and recognized qualification in Purchasing. You have at least 5 years of significant managerial and leadership experience and 5 years of purchasing and/or engineering and/or project management experience.
Crucial skills for this position:
• A strong leadership and managerial skills, including an ability to lead and manage international and multi-cultural teams
• Deep insights in product creation process, as well as in the purchasing environment for the relevant product categories and commodities
• The ability to define a vision and strategy for purchasing and secure alignment with the business unit strategy and Group purchasing strategies as well as excellent knowledge of the strategic sourcing methodology
• The capability to manage strategic supplier relationships, including relationship building, performance, development and integration customer service
• Knowledge and experience with software applications (e.g., Microsoft Office) including presentation and database applications
We are looking for a highly motivated, energetic and result oriented leader, a self-starter with a hands-on approach who is constanlty meeting deadlines with a "no matter what" attitude. You also need to be a team player with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively and gain consensus with cross-functional teams with diverse goals. We believe you possess excellent skills in communication, negotiation, and relationship management, and that you have strong organization, analytical, and problem solving skills.
You are fluent in Swedish and English, written and oral, and additional languages are an advantage.
