Husqvarna Construction Products, a business unit within Husqvarna AB, is a global market leader regarding machines and diamond tools for the construction and stone industries. The product range comprises power cutters, flat saws, tile & masonry saws, wall & wire saws, demolition robots, drill motors, floor grinders and diamond tools for all these and other applications. The product offering also includes a wide variety of diamond tools for the stone industry. The headquarter is located in Jonsered just outside Gothenburg, Sweden and products are produced in some 10 factories around the world.
Now we are reinforcing our organization in Jonsered with a Global Lean Coordinator for all the Construction factories. The primary focus of this position is to provide strategic direction and leadership in the area of continuous improvement by developing and implementing the Husqvarna Operating System (HOS).
Essential Duties
• Represent Construction in the Group HOS core team meetings
• Help develop HOS roll out activities, training and printed materials
• Feed issues & constraints specific to Construction into program development and refinement
• Coordinate/support/lead HOS activities at Construction factories
• Coach factories regarding HOS structure, priorities, methods and tools
• Monitor/drive implementation plans in pursuit of plant goals, coach in KPI and project monitoring
• Participate in plant-level performance reviews.
• Lead/support workshops and events
• Conduct lean training
• Govern HOS concept, standards, methods application across Construction facilities
Education
• Minimum: Bachelor's Degree in engineering or other relevant discipline
• Preferred: Master's Degree
• Preferred: Lean Manufacturing certification.
• Preferred: Demonstrated continual education on the subject of lean
manufacturing.
Experience:
• Minimum 8 years of lean manufacturing experience, including 3 or more years of implementation experience across multiple sites; or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
• Extensive training provided by a lean sensei is desired.
• Minimum 5 years of significant managerial and leadership experience.
• Previous experience leading a lean transformation for a factory or company is required.
• Practical experience leading kaizen events and teaching and coaching lean manufacturing tools is required.
• Practical experience implementing lean manufacturing tools is required
• Previous experience developing and implementing quality systems, including but not limited to tools such as PFMEA, control plans, standardized work and layer audits is required.
Languages:
• Fluency in English is required (written and oral). Additional languages are an advantage.
