Geometrical Architect ? Special Vehicle Development
Job Summary
As a Geometrical Architect you are a key player in the Special Vehicle Development department in Gothenburg. Your capacity to accurately perform geometrical integration of systems and components as well as Geometry assurance is paramount to secure a successful project delivery.
Accountabilities/Responsibilities
• Deliver prerequisites and balanced technical solution (geometry, weight or dimensions) according to Special Vehicle project requirements into industrialization
• Work in close connection to the Lead Architect securing an optimal architectural solution
• Drive and arbitrate the technical dialogue with Engineering and Manufacturing for the technical area to define most optimized technical solution to meet customer needs
• Apply global and lean processes to secure reduced time to market and development cost
• Develop and share acquired competence and provide technical advice
• Participate in business development and innovation
Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills
For success in this role we expect you to have a Master degree in Mechanical Engineering and work experience in the relevant field for a minimum of 6 years. You have demonstrated successful experience in product development and have a strong knowledge of design and mechanical packaging for cab-over-engine trucks. In this position you need to be proficient with Pro/E and Catia and have excellent understanding of Product Data Management systems (KOLA, EDB). As you have been working with heavy duty trucks for many years we expect you to have good knowledge in heavy duty trucks architecture, regulations and platform management concepts. Experience in special vehicles and customer adaptation is considered as a plus.
You thrive to take the lead with courage and integrity and feel comfortable working autonomously. It is important that you have experience and proven track record in working with external engineering partners. You have ability to build trust and to manage networking across the engineering organizations. Experience of working with lean management in product development is considered as a merit.
