Do you have a passion for logistics and leadership? As our current Logistics Manager is moving into a new position within our company, we are now looking for a skilled and highly motivated person to take the lead in our logistics department.
Based at Valmet AB in Karlstad, the biggest area of logistics will be for our Tissue Machines, Mill technology and Services which will include import and export with a global customer base. You will be responsible for successfully leading a team of 22 people where you will have full budget and personnel responsibility. You will also continue improving logistic processes and be dedicated to continuous improvement within the group and across other functions to improve efficiency and reduce cost.
To be successful in this role, we expect you to have solid experience of shipping, forwarding (export, import, project forwarding) and logistics processes extensively. Your skills in negotiating and influencing will be important. It is of benefit that you have a degree in Logistics or Shipping.
You will have strong leadership capabilities, and ideally you will have previous management experience with a successful track record. Having the ability to work in a fast-paced role and manage changes well will also be important for this role.
