The group Vehicle Propulsion Control within the department Complete Powertrain develop software functions and calibrations for vehicle propulsion for conventional vehicles with stop/start functionality and for hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs). The group contains application/calibration engineers, code developers (function developers) and system engineers/designers. The system solutions include both internally produced code and functionality from other departments & suppliers.
As a Function Developer you interact with colleagues at the same group, as well as with colleagues working with HV electric motors, HV batteries, chassis systems and HMI systems, to create system solutions for the complete vehicle. The funtion developer's goal is to develop and maintain electrical system solutions within the group Vehicle Propulsion Control. You will be a part of a team who is working with early system development phases as well as direct project deliveries to the end users of the vehicle. You get a chance to influence the performance, driving characteristics and features of the vehicle as well as a direct link to the fuel economy.
Main responsibilities
• Process incoming legal and market requirements
• Development of system specifications
• Implementation and verification of System Safety Concepts
• Participate in the creation and the development of the Function Implementation Plan
• Description of functions overview
• Report the functions, and affected systems/components ability to meet requirements
• Contribute with a broad perspective of technical details
• Direct contact with necessary sub-systems within Powertrain/Chassis/Electrical Engineering
Required qualifications
• B. Sc. (meritorious M.Sc.) within electronics, physics, mechatronics or similar
• At least 2 years of experience from Software development within electronics
• Fluent in English (spoken and written)
• Driver license (B)
