About the role
The position is part of the Vehicle Dynamics sub stream within VMEM.
Your mission will be to contribute as a Functional Safety Engineer with a good understanding of developing products according to the ISO 26262 standard. You will be responsible to specify and review technical concepts and solutions and ensure that the functional safety requirements are fulfilled for our systems.
You will need to collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders and connect cross-functional teams in the development of our operational strategies. This requires you to inspire trust and confidence in your way of working with colleagues and management.
In this role you will report to the EVAC Group Manager.

In order to succeed in your new role, we think you have:
Ph.D. / Bachelor's / Master's degree in electronics, software, computer engineering (or similar)
>5+ years of experience working in automotive areas within the Safety area
Knowledge of safety engineering processes (Hazard and Operability Analysis, Fault Tree Analysis, Failure Mode and Effect Analysis, etc.)
Knowledge in development according to safety standards such as ISO 26262 is MUST
Fluent in English, written and spoken
Knowledge of EE architecture
Knowlege in embedded systems and development
Good analytical and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of product development cycle (DVP)
Comprehensive knowledge of SAFe Agile Way of Working and mindset is a plus
